They are currently seeking a Project Manager, Hydropower 90 MW, reporting to the Managing Director, to be located in Port Moresby and Project Site.

The employment period will be 3 years starting from May 2023. 

The successful candidate should preferably have:-

Minimum master's degree in the field of Hydropower Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Water Resources or Structural Engineering with graduate degree in Civil Engineering or Hydropower Engineering.

15 years of specific experience in the field of project management, design and construction supervision of hydropower projects involving in headworks, dam, underground work, intakes, surge shaft, penstock, powerhouse and related structures.

 Experience as engineer in construction Supervision of at least one hydropower project of minimum capacity of 30 MW and should have involved in design of at least one hydropower project having installed capacity of 30 MW. Hands-on work experience in the management/leadership of construction and/or rehabilitation of hydropower projects.

A new multi-billion $ project for one of the world’s largest Oil & Gas producers is commencing and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) is required to thoroughly plan this major project.

 

They are currently seeking an OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER as a Technical Advisor – Offshore Structural, supporting the Lead Engineer related preparation of engineering deliverables within the assigned scope.   Work location is in Ireland, preferably working full time in the office five days per week.  Or there is a possibility to work hybrid depending on personal circumstances.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design basis, material and construction specifications
  • Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (inservice) phase (inplace, seismic), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, lifting) and accidental phase (blast, fire, dropped object).
  • Perform detailed design of equipment supports, access platforms etc.
  • Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies
  • The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, client and 3rd party contractors and coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum experience of 5 – 15 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
  • Primavera P6 experience.
  • Proficient user of SESAM GENIE and SESAM suite of software a prerequisite.
  • Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.

Our client is offering a 12 month renewable contract, either as a permanent position or would also consider Contractors.  Negotiable salary/rate and will assist with locating appropriate local accommodation/transport etc.

CONTROLS COMMISSIONING ENGINEER – GERMANY

 

Our client is seeking a CONTROLS COMMISSIONING ENGINEER for an Automobile Manufacturing Project in Berlin, Germany.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

•        Lead day to day activities according to his/her area of assigned responsibilities following the execution plan.

•        Monitor construction activities in preparation to executing commissioning activities.

•        Coordinate with appointed 3rd party contractors upcoming walk downs and completion of punch items prior to scheduled walk downs.

•        Ensure that installation is according to Company design standards and vendor guidelines

.  

·       Carry out field verification of items such as:

o   Electrical and electromechanical components such as valves, solenoids, circuit breakers, starters, and VFDs.

o   Instrument lists for components like actuators, sensors, etc., and location plans.

o   LV AC Power and LV DC weak power systems generation and distribution plans.

o   Networking topologies and network detailed drawings.

o   Instruments at mechanical installation with wiring details.

o   Layouts of control panels with single lines, wiring diagrams, definition, dimensioning and positioning of components.

 

·       Power, Control and Communication cables definition and lists

·       Carries out controls testing including configuration of instrumentation, control valves and VFDs

·       Carries out loop checks and functional testing.

·       Troubleshoot control logic on PLCs and make code modifications as necessary.

·       Carries out control panel commissioning checks during loop and functional checks

 

Key requirements:

 

·       5+ years’ experience working with control systems including hands on experience with instrumentation, control valves and VFDs.

·       Proficient making code changes on PLCs such as Siemens TIA Portal

·       Proficient with communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU and Profinet.

·       Ideally familiar with utility systems such chillers, boilers, cooling towers and compressors

 

Our client is offering initially 4 month contract (possible renewal).   Immediate interviews/start.   Rate according to age and experience.  German language an advantage not essential.
