Our client is a prime power infrastructure developer and operator within the power industry including power generation, distribution and transmission.  With HQ based in Asia, they are involved in various power projects worldwide.    They are currently seeking to recruit a CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER to oversee finances for a Gas Fired Captive Power Plant construction project in Iraq.

PROJECT MANAGER / PIPELINE ENGINEER - PAPUA NEW GUINEA


Our client is an Energy Company located in Papua New Guinea, involved with Hydro Power & Oil & Gas Projects.  They are currently seeking a natural gas PIPELINE ENGINEER to assist the owner and oversee their client’s investment in natural gas and condensate pipeline.  (Total distance 300 kms – onshore pipeline).  on current programmes.

Responsibilities include meeting with financiers around the world to invest in the pipeline project, working closely with the client and also overseeing the EPC Contractor. 

Candidates must have experience in the construction and operation of pipeline owned and operated by an entity other than the gas field developer.

ENGINEERING MANAGER – SAUDI ARABIA

 

Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary engineering service provider company based in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They are actively involved and perform engineering, design, project management & consultancy, construction management and engineering support services to various, power generation, transmission & distribution projects, water resources, oil & gas projects, petrochemicals and development projects, commercial and infrastructure development projects. Our client also has branch offices in key cities throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

Their clients include major Saudi utility companies, government owned corporations and national & multinational companies operating in various sectors.

 

Due to our client’s ongoing development within the Kingdom, we are seeking to recruit on their behalf, an ENGINEERING MANAGER to oversee and lead the Engineering Department.

 

Candidates should have previous Middle East work experience and willing to undertake a long-term assignment in Saudi Arabia (ongoing permanent position).

Duties & Responsibilities:-

 

·        Will assume the role of Engineering leader and technical expert.

·        Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand to plan and assess marketing strategy and feasibility to take up            projects.

·        Communicate with the client’s engineering department giving engineering solutions to their upcoming projects and

         convert into services contract.

·        Answer questions and resolves issues brought by the Engineering team members.

·        Create detailed engineering plans, processes and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by.

·        Propose and oversee budgets and timeline for engineering projects.

·        Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and methods used by the engineering team.

·        Conducts various test of quality assurance checks to verify the quality of projects.

·        Prepare and deliver various engineering related presentations both internally and externally.

·        Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.

·        Develop and build confidence with client to generate additional engineering service contracts.

·        Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff

         competence.

·        Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

 CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR - SAUDI ARABIA


Our client is a Contracting & Construction company currently involved in various High- Rise Buildings, Tower & Hotels Construction and related infrastructure located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

They are currently seeking a CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR for a High-Rise Tower Construction Project, the structure and cladding is complete, and they are now involved in the finishing and electro-mechanical aspects.

Candidates should be well qualified in Contracts/Quantity Surveying, an additional advantage is a Degree in Commercial Law/and or Engineering Degree with legal experience.  Plus at least 15 years’ experience in Contract Administration of similar type large civil construction projects, preferably with previous work experience in the Middle East for a least 3 years.

MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR – BIOMASS POWER PLANT, UK


Our client offers services in the finance, design, build. operations and engineering support of Energy systems and projects.

 

They are currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for a Biomass Power Plant in the Midlands.

The successful candidate is likely to progress on to Plant Manager in a few years.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include:-

 

  • Daily defect resolution and repairs (e.g. abnormal noise from bearing reported, needs to be able to deduce root cause of issue and own the issue until resolution)
  • Carry out prudent fault finding on site and root cause analysis
  • Deliver quality repair solution themselves
  • Leads mechanical maintenance activities (conveyors, gear boxes, pumps, fans, etc.)
  • Continual improvement of maintenance schedule from OEM documents
  • Understanding of preventative vs breakdown maintenance
  • Spares management
  • Plan, schedule and supervise contractor work – large item overhaul (turbine, genset, boiler re-tubing, ID fans) & outage scheduling and supervision (scaffolders, cleaners, welders, rotating plant, pressure systems, NDT, etc.)
  • Outage coordination (where we will be overhauling a number of plant items whilst the plant is offline – this role would take the lead on organising the majority of the work and contributing to mechanical activities where possible)
  • Understand Energy from Waste/Power station operations & processes
  • Safe method of working and associated training where relevant
  • Subcontractor management
  • Organised & computer literate. Will need to communicate with subcontractors, use the online systems, maintenance system (Pirana), etc.

We are seeking to recruit a Site Manager / Resident Engineer for one of our client’s coal fired power projects in Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager/RE shall be responsible for overall site supervision of the power plant construction and erection and management of the Owner Engineer site supervision team.

 

Required candidate qualifications and requirements: -

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • At least 15 years’ experience in construction and erection works in power plant or other complex industrial type construction projects.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in site or construction management of construction and erection works in power plant
  • Prior experience in coal fired power project construction in SE Asia preferred.
  • Good experience of handling of health, safety and environmental aspects of the project construction.
  • Experience of handling of site QA/QC procedures, material receiving procedures, material handling and storage etc.
  • Strong leadership personality with good communication skills, fluent English language.

 

The role is 5/6 days per week, full time position throughout the duration of the project.
